Under the direction of Maestro Leslie Dala (Assistant Conductor of the Vancouver Opera and Music Director of the Vancouver Bach Choir) VAMSO performs some of the most beloved masterpieces from the symphonic repertoire over the course of three separate concerts. VAMSO rehearse two and a half hours weekly in an intensive rehearsal environment that aims to find a balance between excellence and enjoyment. Participation in VAMSO is open to students who are not registered for private lessons at VAM. All accepted members of VAMSO receive a full orchestral scholarship.
