VAM offers its students the opportunity to work with a distinguished faculty of musicians in an environment which encourages the philosophy that music is a group activity involving composer, performer, and listener.

Music Classes Division provides musical training in areas suited to all age groups from pre-school children to adults. The courses offered include private study in piano, voice, classical guitar, and all band and orchestral instruments.

Classes are available in Orff, Kodaly, music history, music theory, orchestra, chamber music, class piano and ballet. The Suzuki program offers instruction in violin, viola, cello, flute and piano. Master classes, technique classes, and workshops are held weekly for students of piano, voice, violin, viola, cello, and guitar.
