Although there are no specific requirements for admission to the VAM Preparatory Division, students wishing to study privately and students wishing to enroll in the ballet program are required to audition for acceptance and placement.

Registration must be for a minimum of one eighteen-week semester and is normally for a full academic year consisting of two eighteen-week semesters. For ballet students, the year is divided into three twelve-week semesters. Each semester’s tuition is due and payable before lessons begin. Interest at the rate of 1.5% per month will be charged on all overdue accounts. Students will automatically be billed for the ensuing semester unless the office and the private teacher are notified of the student’s intention to withdraw.

Some semesters encompass more than eighteen weeks allowing flexibility in scheduling, however each student will receive only eighteen lessons and/or classes each semester.
